Thursday Night Football
November 13th, 2009 | by Mark Hooper |I hope you are a fantasy footballer and not just and NFL fan, and also an NFL fan and not just a Saints fan. Because this rant is not directed at the NFL or the Saints, it’s just me berating the fantasy game I so profess to love. If you are into fantasy, look into my www.idpzone.com for my favorite fantasy timewaster…IDP (individual defensive player) blog.
Everyone who watched the Thursday night game (Bears vs. 49ers) if you forgot raise your hand. Ok, everyone who finished the game raise your hand. What a pathetic brand of offense we witnessed.
Frank Gore and the 49ers D were the sole highlights from a fantasy perspective, unless you are into IDP, which in that case you would have loved Patrick Willis, or in case your RB is in a PPR league, and Forte’s 8/120 were sweet. No TDs sucked though.
The reason I am so torqued is that this is week 10, and in my money league it’s the playoffs. Guess who my QB was? That’s right..Jay Cutler. From this day forward, he will be on my s**t list. Until of course, he does a 5 TD game when it counts.
118 yards from Alex Smith? Boy, glad I paid heavily to pick him up as a backup last week. Between that and his int, I think he scored 2 points. Vernon Davis? Thank you very freaking much sir. You probably killed me, when I have Shockey and Winslow on the bench in other leagues.
How do the Bears allow just one rushing TD, 228 total yards and lose so convincingly? Oh yeah, Cutler.
I hate fantasy sometimes, we work like crazy for nine weeks to get to the playoffs and see one player sink our season.
